Identification of sperm whales vocalizations
My internship involves processing and analysis of acoustic recordings from digital acoustic recording tags (Dtags) deployed on sperm whales to detect and identify different types of vocalizations from their spectral properties, including echolocation clicks, communication codas, slow clicks, non-coda communication sounds, as well as ship noise and other noises.
